There Was an Old Lady Who Gobbled a Skink written by Tamera Will Wissinger and illustrated by Ana Bermejo is a very fun to read story that retells the classic, There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly, but this old lady swallows a skink instead! You can sing this song to the familiar children’s song about the old lady who swallows a fly or read it in a sing-songy voice. The tale will take you and your favorite child along on a wild adventure with this unfortunate, but hilarious old lady who gobbles up some very interesting objects along the way!We enjoyed this book a lot and had a great time laughing as I read it to my little friends.

The second book we read from Sky Pony Press is called, Puddle Jumpers. This story is written by Anne Margaret Lewis and illustrated by Nancy Cote. This story is about a little boy named, Sam, who hears a puddle calling to him and he wants to jump into it. As he jumps, he dreams of being all kinds of different animals with different adventures. His Mother has told him not to jump in the puddle, what will she say when she sees that he has stepped in? The last page is the delightful answer to that question! The pictures are bright, beautiful and exciting and the story is one that any child or Mother of small children can relate to! We enjoyed this book very much as well!
